Job description
We are hiring Systems Integration Engineers to work within the Applications and Interoperability team. The role will focus on developing and integrating tactical gateway solutions that enable secure interoperability between disparate networks and systems. The role will involve working with an integrated project team delivering projects and tasks through life, from System and Sub-system design through to test and acceptance and then support and experimentation in the field. The engineer will be responsible for delivering Work Packages that are focused on system interoperability with the Bowman Network. Within the role you will be able to demonstrate your experience and ability to conduct integration and technical problem solving alongside the end user.
Requirements
To be successful in these particular roles you will demonstrate the following knowledge and experience:
- Experience working with complex C4I systems/products on major development programmes.
- Strong understanding of Windows networking services e.g. DNS, ADFS, PKI.
- Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi for virtualization and Windows Server Operating Systems.
- Familiarity with cross-domain solutions such as Dataguards Data Diodes etc.
- Knowledge of network security components such as firewall technologies or SIEM solutions.
- Experience configuring and integrating Cisco networking equipment and VOIP services.
- Excellent analytical, fault finding with the ability to pin-point the root cause of an issue as well as problem solving skills.
- A good understanding of Computer Networking to assist with problem solving issues.
- Experience working with NATO Federate Mission Network (FMN) compliant systems is desirable.
- Demonstrates knowledge of all aspects of the wider System Engineering Lifecycle.
Benefits & conditions
Salary for this position is £45,600 to £60,000 depending on experience plus our excellent flexible benefits package. Due to the nature of these particular roles on site working is generally required.
