Senior Design Engineer

Hunters client is seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to lead the design and delivery of temporary and permanent works within the water and civil engineering sector. This is a senior-level role requiring strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to manage multiple projects from concept through to construction. Senior Design Engineer - The Role

• Lead the design and delivery of temporary and permanent works in line with BS 5975, Eurocodes, and UK H&S legislation
• Produce and check engineering calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
• Manage multiple projects, coordinating with clients, project teams, and supply chain stakeholders
• Carry out site visits to assess conditions and support safe, buildable design solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement in design and digital processes Senior Design Engineer - The Fit

• 7 10+ years experience in civil engineering or temporary works design
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and CDM Regulations
• Proven ability to produce and review detailed engineering calculations and reports
• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering, Chartered or working towards
• Proficient in design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit) with strong communication skills

• Salary £57,000 £67,000 DOE
