Job description
Infrastructure Management: Management of physical servers, storage infrastructure (NAS), and virtualization clusters. Troubleshooting network issues to prevent downtime.
System Security & Hardening: Installing, configuring, and updating firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection. Hardening servers and workstations to prevent breaches, and conducting vulnerability assessments
Access Management: Managing user accounts, permissions, and implementing authentication protocols.
Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR): Developing and testing backup restoration procedures, maintaining redundancy systems, and implementing robust disaster recovery plans.
Monitoring & Incident Response: Management of local monitoring stacks (Zabbix, Icinga,...), analyzing logs and alerts, investigating suspicious activity to ensure proactive incident response, and participating in forensic activities.
On-Prem Automation: Management and implementation of automation systems (Ansible + Semaphore) for server and clients provisioning and configuration.
Compliance & Policy Enforcement: Ensuring systems comply with industry regulations (ENS, NIS2, GDPR, ISO 27001) and enforcing organizational security policies.
Requirements
ISGlobal is looking for candidates with good problem-solving ability for the position of IT System Administrator with cybersecurity profile to join the IT Resources and Services team (SRI). This position is expected to display good interpersonal skills, TeamWork, establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues., Problem solver: A "cool under pressure" approach to troubleshooting critical hardware or system failures.
Documentation Advocate: You believe that if a process isn't documented, it's a single point of failure.
Good treatment and relationship with people, professional communicative, self-taught and willing to work as a team., Studies: Degree in Computer Science or related field, engineering or equivalent Vocational Training.
OS Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and/or Windows Server administration.
Security Tools: SIEM tools, vulnerability scanners, endpoint security software.
Virtualization: Deep experience in managing hypervisors and virtual networking (Proxmox, KVM).
Networking: Solid understanding of L2/L3 switching, VLANs, Firewalls, networking protocols (TCP/IP, VPN) and Load Balancers (FortiNet).
Databases: Experience in database administration (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB/Mysql).
Containerization: Experience as DevOps running Docker or Kubernetes on local VMs or on the cloud.
Scripting & Tooling: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for task automation.
Storage and backup: Experience with NAS management and backup plans (specially valued familiarization with DSM Synology).
HPC support. Acknowledgement of an HPC infrastructure and experience in configuration of SLURM scheduler system and EasyBuild+Lmod for managing software modules.
LANGUAGE LEVEL Native in Catalan or Spanish.
Good written and verbal English communication skills.
