Job description
We're supporting a leading digital transformation consultancy delivering secure, cloud-native platforms into government and regulated environments. They are looking for an experienced SC Cleared GCP Engineer with strong GKE expertise to join a high-performing engineering team., * Design, build and optimise GCP-based platforms, with a focus on GKE
- Deploy and manage containerised applications in secure, multi-environment setups
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for repeatable, scalable deployments
- Embed security best practices and compliance controls across the platform
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps processes
- Collaborate with engineering, platform, and security teams in agile delivery environments
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Deep expertise in GKE/Kubernetes in production environments
- Proven background delivering secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions
- Experience working in government or highly regulated environments
- Strong skills in Terraform/Infrastructure as Code
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)
- Good understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, and Zero-Trust principles, * Experience with multi-cloud (AWS/Azure) environments
- Exposure to service mesh/CNI (eg Cilium)
- Knowledge of monitoring & observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Experience with identity & secrets management (Keycloak, Vault)
