Job description

A growing investment focused technology environment is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to help design, automate, and optimise modern cloud infrastructure. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing engineering function delivering secure, scalable, and resilient solutions across Azure.

You'll work closely with software engineering teams, driving best-practice DevOps standards, shaping platform architecture, and accelerating delivery through automation and modern tooling.

Key Responsibilities

Support application development and deployment across Azure environments
Implement self-service tooling to enhance CI/CD efficiency and developer experience
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployments using IaC
Contribute to best practices across build automation, source control, containerisation, and monitoring
Participate in Agile ceremonies: stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning
Enhance observability and reliability through monitoring and performance tooling
Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to ensure consistent delivery standards

Requirements

6 years' + experience in DevOps, SRE or Platform Engineering
Strong hands-on experience with Docker and containerisation best practices
Deep knowledge of Azure technologies including: AKS, VNet, NSG, Blob Storage, Key Vault
Strong proficiency with Terraform, Spacelift; Bicep advantageous
CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps, or similar pipeline tooling
Git-based version control (Bitbucket, GitHub)
Understanding of SDLC processes and tools
Proven experience building and maintaining YAML-based pipelines
Knowledge of modern OOP languages such as C# and Python (C# preferred)
Experience supporting RESTful APIs at the infrastructure level
Strong communication and documentation abilities
Comfortable working both independently and within collaborative Agile teams
Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, EKS) beneficial
