Then come and join our global team as Research Engineer Medical Data Acquisition and Systems Control (f/m/d) to to shape the future architectures of our imaging systems.
Choose the best place for your work - Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.
This position is full-time or part-time with a minimum of 30h/week.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for evaluating technologies and prototyping wired, optical, and wireless multi-gigabit data acquisition systems, as well as Ethernet/IP-based control systems.
- Your responsibilities will also include the technical and commercial risk analysis of solutions, including documentation and presentations for stakeholders.
- This also involves technology and market scouting in relevant technology fields.
- You will work closely with internal and external partners.
- You will actively contribute to knowledge sharing and standardization.

Requirements
- You hold a master's or diploma degree in electrical engineering, information and communication technology, physics, mathematics, or a comparable field.
- You have several years of professional experience in the field of network communication (Ethernet/IP), signal theory and coding, and digital signal processing.
- Alternatively, you hold a bachelor's degree in one of the above-mentioned fields combined with several years of professional experience or a completed doctorate.
- You stand out with in-depth knowledge of Linux-based systems, embedded systems, and/or system-on-chips.
- Knowledge of FPGA development, particularly in the area of multi-gigabit transceivers and system-on-chips, is an advantage.
- You possess a software-oriented mindset and are open to interdisciplinary work spanning hardware-related topics and modern software development.
- Experience in C/C++, Python, and HDL/HLS rounds out your profile.
