AWS Security Engineer- Outside IR35- Fully remote

We are seeking a skilled AWS Security Engineer to join our cloud security team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across our AWS infrastructure. You will focus on security hardening-ensuring that our cloud environments are configured to the highest standards of security, compliance, and resilience. You will work closely with DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Application teams to embed security into the software development life cycle (SDLC) and automate threat detection and response.

Technical Expertise

• 5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering, specifically with Amazon Web Services (AWS) .
• Deep expertise in AWS security services: GuardDuty, Security Hub, Inspector, Config, KMS, IAM, WAF, Shield, and Network Firewall.
• Strong understanding of network security within AWS, including VPC design, routing, and Firewall configurations.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with container security in Amazon EKS or ECS, including image scanning and runtime security.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or PowerShell for automating security tasks.
