Job description

We are looking for an experienced PHP Developer to strengthen our team and contribute to the development, maintenance, and evolution of internal web applications. In this role, you will work on a variety of projects, including the enhancement of internal platforms such as intranet systems, while also supporting system administration and participating in technical improvements across the development environment. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, scalable, and well-documented solutions. Your Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain web and database applications
  • Build clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using PHP 7/8, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Develop and optimize database structures using MySQL / MariaDB
  • Produce technical documentation and development guidelines
  • Support and administer development environments and related systems
  • Contribute to the integration of new tools and components
  • Maintain, enhance, and document internal intranet applications
  • Ensure smooth integration of new features and improvements
  • Define test strategies and execute testing activities
  • Support the rollout of new features through training sessions and documentation
  • Actively contribute to ongoing projects
  • Take ownership of smaller work packages or sub-projects when needed, * Work on meaningful internal platforms and long-term projects

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent (or relevant professional experience)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in application development

  • Strong expertise in:

  • PHP 7/8

  • HTML5

  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

  • MySQL / MariaDB (data modeling & querying)

  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript

  • Fluent in German (written and spoken)

  • Experience with modern PHP frameworks (e.g., Symfony, Laravel)

  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, or DevOps practices

  • Experience with intranet systems or CMS platforms

  • Knowledge of Linux environments

  • Exposure to project coordination or small project leadership
