AWS Devops Engineer

We are looking for a Devops Engineer to lead the design, build, and for the operation of secure, scalable DevOps capabilities for digital services. You will drive automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure delivery, ensuring compliance with DDaT standards and best practices. You will provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and embed reliability, observability, and security across platforms. This is a hybrid's role with travel to the client required on a frequent basis. SC clearance will be required ( you will need to have at least 5 years of continuous UK residency to be eligible). In this role, you will:

• Implement advanced monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to guarantee system reliability and performance.
• Enhance observability for proactive issue detection.
• Work closely with developers, testers, and product teams to deliver robust solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in DevOps and agile delivery.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, pipelines, and operational processes.
• Champion adherence to DDaT standards.

• Hands-on leadership in designing and operating secure, scalable platforms.
• Infrastructure as Code: Expertise in Terraform or equivalent and automated provisioning.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS services or equivalent and governance.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Proficiency in Kubernetes and Docker.
• CI/CD Expertise: Advanced knowledge of GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Security Practices: Deep understanding of secure DevOps principles and cloud security.
• Problem-Solving & Reliability Engineering: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and design resilient systems.
