Job description

Here's what you'll get up to on a day-to-day basis:

  • Lead the development of trusted analytics datasets and reporting solutions that support operational teams and business decision making.
  • Data design, operational analytics, modelling, tuning, architecture, and governance
  • Design and maintain reliable data transformation and ELT pipelines using modern cloud tooling such as Azure Data Factory or similar platforms.
  • Help simplify and improve existing data workflows, including Python-based pipeline orchestration.
  • Develop and maintain PowerBI semantic models, dashboards and reporting solutions, enabling teams across the organisation to self-serve insights.
  • Work with data sources including document databases, relational databases, data warehouses and cloud data lakes.
  • Ensure analytics datasets and pipelines are accurate, performant and capable of incremental data processing.
  • Monitor and improve the performance and reliability of queries, data pipelines and reporting workloads.
  • Support the delivery of embedded analytics used by customers and partners.
  • Contribute to tooling selection, vendor management and architecture decisions, ensuring solutions deliver value for money.
  • Promote a buy-before-build approach, favouring proven cloud services and usage-based tooling where appropriate.
  • Support secure access to data, working with identity and access controls such as EntraID and role-based access models.
  • Integrate with external platforms through API consumption and data exchange with third-party services.
  • Work collaboratively with product, engineering and operational teams to deliver insights that improve the experience of Evergreen Life users.

Requirements

We're seeking a motivated and reliable Senior BI Developer to help drive the next phase of Evergreen Life's data capability., * Strong experience working in data analytics or analytics engineering roles

  • Excellent SQL, data modelling and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Strong experience delivering dashboards and analytics using Power BI
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and analytics environments
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate data into meaningful insights
  • Ability to design and maintain reliable data pipelines and incremental data processing approaches
  • Experience optimising query performance and reporting workloads
  • Experience working with structured and semi-structured data sources

Experience with technologies such as

  • Data warehouses, databases and storage platformsExamples may include Redshift, MongoDB Atlas, MySQL/MariaDB, S3, Azure Storage or Fabric OneLake
  • Modern data integration and ELT toolingSimilar experience gained from using Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Apache Airflow, Matillion
  • Cloud analytics and reporting toolsExamples may include PowerBI, Tableau or similar platforms

Desirable experience

  • Experience working with EntraID authentication and RBAC security models
  • Experience integrating external APIs or data services
  • Experience evaluating data tooling and vendor solutions
  • Experience working in health technology, healthcare or regulated data environments
