Lead Dynamics 365 Developer

A growing financial services organisation is looking to appoint a Lead Dynamics 365 Developer to take ownership of its core CRM and application development landscape. This is a key hire within the business, offering the opportunity to combine hands-on development, technical leadership, and solution design across a modern Microsoft ecosystem. The Opportunity: You'll play a central role in shaping and delivering the organisation's Dynamics 365 platform, leading development activity while influencing architecture, integrations, and long-term technical direction. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying close to the code while also driving standards, mentoring others, and contributing to strategic decision-making. What You'll Be Doing: Technical Leadership & Delivery Leading day-to-day development activity across the Dynamics 365 environment Mentoring developers and setting coding standards / best practices Supporting delivery planning, sprint cycles, and project timelines Remaining hands-on with development where required Solution Design & Architecture Designing end-to-end solutions across Dynamics 365 (Sales, Customer Service, Marketing) Defining scalable and secure system architecture Producing technical documentation including solution designs and data flows Integration & Platform Ownership Owning integrations between Dynamics 365 and external systems Working with APIs and Azure-based services to enable seamless connectivity Supporting data architecture and system interoperability Performance & Continuous Improvement Driving system performance, reliability, and scalability Supporting upgrades, enhancements, and platform evolution Ensuring solutions align with security and compliance standards Stakeholder Engagement Collaborating with business stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions Acting as the go-to technical expert for Dynamics 365 across the organisation

Core Experience Proven experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (development & customisation) Strong knowledge of the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) Experience integrating systems using APIs and middleware Background working with Azure services (e.g. Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management) Leadership Experience Exposure to leading projects or mentoring developers Experience delivering enterprise-scale implementations is highly desirable Technical Strengths Strong understanding of system design, architecture, and best practices Knowledge of security models, access controls, and governance Comfortable reviewing and guiding technical solutions Soft Skills Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Proactive, organised, and delivery-focused mindset Ability to balance hands-on work with strategic input, Minimum 2+ years' experience working with Dynamics 365 Right to work in the UK Ability to work on-site in Northamptonshire Nice to Have Microsoft certifications (Dynamics 365 / Power Platform / Azure) Experience working with third-party vendors or system integrators Exposure to architecture frameworks or methodologies
