Job description

As Salesforce Platform Owner, you will be the technical owner of DSA's Salesforce-led tech stack. This is a key leadership role that combines technical expertise, business insight and stakeholder engagement to ensure our Salesforce platform continues to meet the evolving needs of DSA and delivers measurable business value.

You will provide oversight and architectural guidance for support, maintenance and enhancements. You will ensure our Salesforce environment is built and continues to grow in a sustainable way, applying best practices from both Salesforce and broader IT perspectives. You will act as a vital bridge between business stakeholders and the technical team. What you'll be doing:

  • Oversee the overall health and performance of the Salesforce platform, ensuring it remains stable, scalable and well-integrated with other business systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, fostering a positive and solution-oriented environment.
  • Manage and prioritise a backlog of enhancements, bug fixes and new features, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical best practices.
  • Work closely with developers, administrators and other technical staff to deliver platform solutions, including configurations, customisations and integrations.
  • Manage the release process for new features and updates, ensuring minimal disruption and smooth transitions for users.
  • Provide guidance, training and frontline support to Salesforce users, addressing questions and resolving technical issues.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve platform performance, efficiency and user experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce releases, features and best practices; proactively share relevant insights and learning with the broader team.
  • Key relationships: Divisional operational leads, transformation leads, client stakeholders, operational business analysts, project and programme managers, Catalyst Lab innovation consultants, members of the engineering studio build teams.

Requirements

  • Salesforce expertise: In-depth knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
  • Technical proficiency: Experience with Salesforce configuration, customisation, integration and declarative development (Flow, Process Builder, etc.); experience with Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components is advantageous.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Problem-solving: Analytical mindset and strong troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve technical and business issues effectively.
  • Project management: Demonstrated experience prioritising tasks and working effectively as part of a collaborative team.
