Cloud DevOps Engineer (AWS)

• Cloud Design and Management: Design, provision, operate and manage highly available, performant and scalable distributed application systems on AWS. Drive through the implementation process by example, guidance and technical acumen.
• Automation, GitOps & CI/CD: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and testing processes of infrastructure and solution components.
• Monitoring & Performance: Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure the availability and performance of the cloud environment. Identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and ensure cloud infrastructure security and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, product managers, security, and operations to ensure a smooth and reliable application delivery process.
• Cost Optimisation: Monitor and optimise cloud infrastructure costs, making recommendations for cost-saving measures.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive architectural documentation, including design documents and reference diagrams.

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or System Engineer with a strong focus on AWS cloud services.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with Automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline).
• Hands-on experience with Linux System Administration and Observability tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, networking, compute, storage, and serverless/microservices architecture.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills., * Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Experience in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Knowledge of multi-cloud strategies (Azure or Google Cloud).
