Senior Full Stack Developer 80-100%

Building a distributed, REST-based microservices system for instrumentation, orchestration, and execution of quantitative models

Close collaboration with quants, product managers, business analysts, and end users to understand business needs, analyze problems, and propose innovative technical solutions that improve functionality and user experience

Architecture and implementation of technical solutions that meet LGT standards, deliver an optimized client experience, and create competitive advantages

Development of AI solutions (e.g., automation, chatbots, agent-based systems, MCP prototyping) and their seamless integration into existing business systems to extend platform capabilities

Building and maintaining a robust shared data foundation, including designing and optimizing our data storage strategy as well as developing efficient APIs as a platform

Automation and further development of CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and ArgoCD to ensure high-quality changes, system responsiveness, and efficient deployments with global reach

Development of multi-region deployment solutions with proactive consideration of country-specific compliance requirements and localization challenges

Ensuring data integrity and security by implementing proven industry practices and complying with LGT security standards

Driving and shaping test automation initiatives to ensure quality at every stage of the development lifecycle

Analysis, debugging, and further development of software to ensure high performance and reliability

Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to build reusable, shared libraries and components

Creation of clear, precise, and comprehensive technical documentation

Mentoring and coaching junior team members, providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, and ensuring governance compliance regarding standards and best practices for application development and testing.

Solid experience in senior-level full-stack development

Proven experience in technical leadership, mentoring, and establishing or advancing best practices.

Experience building decoupled and scalable distributed systems based on REST

Experience with SRE practices and observability tools such as OpenTelemetry

Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) as well as experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI/CD and ArgoCD

Understanding of microservices architectures and cloud-native application development

Ability to confidently master CI/CD practices and solutions, with a good understanding of cloud environments (preferably Azure)

Experience or strong interest in AI-supported development, AI frameworks, and system integration with AI models (e.g., agents, MCP)

Knowledge of fundamental algorithms as well as object-oriented and functional design principles and best-practice patterns

Strong analytical skills as well as strengths in problem-solving and troubleshooting with great attention to detail

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and familiarity with lean development principles

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly

Proactive, self-motivated, and solution-oriented personality with a can-do attitude and enthusiasm for continuous process improvement

Ability to work effectively in a small, globally distributed team environment and build trusting relationships within the organization
