Job description

Depending on your level, this role is designed as a hands-on entry into IT operations with a clear development path into more advanced infrastructure and platform topics.

You can start with a focus on IT support and system administration, ensuring smooth daily operations, while gradually taking on more responsibility in areas like automation, cloud, and infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities

  • 1st and 2nd level support for internal users
  • Managing user accounts and access rights in line with IT security standards
  • Supporting and maintaining IT infrastructure (hardware, software, networks)
  • Administration and maintenance of Linux-based systems
  • Monitoring systems and ensuring stable operations (e.g. icinga2)
  • Supporting network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls)
  • Handling onboarding and offboarding processes in collaboration with HR
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across systems and users
  • Working with tools such as Office 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Jira/Confluence
  • Supporting office infrastructure and internal IT processes

Your Development Path

Over time, you will be trained and supported in more advanced topics such as:

  • 3rd Level-Support
  • Scripting and automation (Bash, Python)
  • Cloud environments (GCP, AWS)
  • Infrastructure and system administration beyond support
  • Monitoring, networking, and platform-related topics

Requirements

  • Completed training in IT (e.g. Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration) or comparable background
  • Initial professional experience (approx. 1-3 years) in IT support or system administration
  • Knowledge of Linux administration
  • Basic understanding of networking (LAN, WAN, VPN, TCP/IP)
  • Basic scripting skills (Bash, Python) are a plus
  • Experience with Mac, Windows, and Linux environments
  • Familiarity with tools such as Office 365, Google Workspace, Slack
  • Structured, solution-oriented way of working
  • Strong communication skills and team mindset
  • Good command of English and at least B2 German
