Your future workplace:

For our client, an international provider of high-technology equipment for the aviation and space programs industry, we are looking for you as a Product Owner (m/f/d) for radar system software. You will work onsite in Kiel and support the team in Lisbon/ Portugal.

Your tasks:

• Supporting the team in Lisbon/ Portugal onsite in Kiel/ Germany
• Development of the product vision for military maritime radar signal analysis software
• Defining priorities and work-coordination between developers, tech leads, QA and
• stakeholders
• Plan and maintain roadmaps/story maps, surface dependencies and manage incremental value delivery within 3-month iteration cycles
• Drive strong cross team collaboration with you neighboring development teams and product owner across locations to align priorities and remove impediments
• Lead legacy modernization efforts (monolith decomposition) in close collaboration with tech leads
• Act as the onsite Kiel anchor for the external Portugal delivery team (regular travel activity to Portugal)

• Advanced software development experience in agile environments
• Demonstrated track record as a Product Owner or in a product leadership role, including backlog prioritization and release planning.
• Strong ability to collaborate with teams, closely align with product managers and work with distributed teams
• Practical experience in modernizing legacy systems and partnering with software architects on decomposing monoliths
• Capability to manage multiple projects, identify dependencies, and clearly communicate risks
• Proficiency with Confluence, Jira, MS Office, and Teams; experience with DOORS or Jazz is a plus
• Travel to Portugal on a regular basis
• Fluent English language skills, German would be a plus
