Job description

We are looking for a skilled DevOps & Platform Developer to join our Enterprise Technology & Innovation (ET&I) team. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, scalability, and efficiency of both internal and client-facing platforms.

You will play a central part in managing cloud infrastructure, automating platform operations, and supporting Atlassian environments. The role combines DevOps best practices, Linux system administration, and infrastructure-as-code expertise. Additionally, you will contribute to AI-powered development workflows and CI/CD improvements that support developer productivity across the organization.

You will report to the Director of DevOps & Platform Engineering and work closely with cross-functional teams across Valiantys.

What You'll Be Working On

Infrastructure & DevOps Automation

  • Design and manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent tools.
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support automated delivery for internal and client projects.
  • Automate deployment processes and enforce DevOps best practices across environments., * Develop and maintain full-stack solutions that utilize React, Node.js, Python, among other common languages and frameworks. These solutions involve integration with AI APIs and other LLM services.
  • Implement AI-driven features using frameworks like LangChain and MCP to deliver adaptive, context-aware functionality within applications.
  • Connect to data sources and services integrating external systems and knowledge bases to enrich model outputs and user interaction.

Atlassian Application & Linux Administration

  • Install, upgrade, and maintain server-based Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.).
  • Administer and secure Linux-based systems that host Atlassian applications and other internal platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and tune application performance to ensure reliability and uptime.

Monitoring, Security & Incident Response

  • Implement observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, CloudWatch, OpsGenie) to proactively manage system health.
  • Respond to operational incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend long-term stability improvements.
  • Monitor infrastructure costs and suggest optimizations to ensure efficient cloud resource usage.

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Collaborate with developers, support engineers, and consultants to align platforms with business and client needs.
  • Maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge bases for internal systems and operational processes.

AI-Powered Workflow Enablement

  • Support infrastructure and deployment automation for AI-based tools, models, and pipelines.
  • Ensure smooth integration of AI solutions into modern DevOps workflows.

Requirements

This role is ideal for a hands-on DevOps engineer with strong Cloud skills, development experience, a solid understanding of infrastructure automation, and a passion for improving platform reliability and scalability.

You should bring

Proven experience managing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.

Hands-on expertise with Linux system administration and scripting.

Experience supporting or deploying Atlassian applications in server environments.

Familiarity with cloud monitoring, observability, and incident management.

A mindset of continuous improvement, automation-first thinking, and strong collaboration.

Bonus: exposure to AI/ML pipeline infrastructure and/or experience with Atlassian Cloud products.

Languages & Location

Fluent in English (company-wide working language).

This is a fully remote position, with the option of working from a nearby Valiantys office at your own discretion.
