App Developer (UI/UX & Feature Development)(Mandarin Speaker)

We are looking for a passionate App Developer to join our team and help improve and scale the Elsewhere Me app.You will work closely with our product, design, and marketing teams to enhance user experience and build new features tailored to our growing user base., Improve and redesign app interfaces (UI/UX optimisation)

Develop new features based on product needs (e.g. onboarding flow, user system, recommendation modules)

Collaborate on product design and propose technical solutions

Maintain and optimise existing code for performance and scalability

Work cross-functionally with marketing and operations teams, especially focusing on international student users

Core Skills (at least one of the following)

Mobile / App Development

Experience with React Native / Flutter / Swift / Kotlin

Ability to independently implement UI and app screens

Web Development (if applicable)

Proficient in React or Vue.js

Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Backend Experience (strong plus)

Familiar with Node.js / Python / Java

Experience building RESTful APIs

Knowledge of databases (MySQL / MongoDB)

Product & UI Awareness (highly valued)

Experience with UI/UX optimisation (Figma / Sketch)

Strong understanding of user experience, especially for international or cross-cultural users

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on social apps, e-commerce platforms, or international user products

Experience launching apps on App Store / Google Play

Experience with payment, order, or logistics systems
