Job description

To ensure the accurate creation, maintenance, and governance of master data across business systems, supporting efficient operations, strong data integrity, and reliable reporting across the organisation., This role sits within the central Master Data team, supporting the creation, validation, and maintenance of key business data across multiple systems.

As Master Data Administrator, you will act as a central point of contact for master data requests, ensuring all data is accurate, consistent, and compliant with company standards. You will play a key role in maintaining data integrity across product, customer, vendor, and financial data, enabling smooth business processes and supporting decision-making across the organisation.

Your Key Responsibilities Master Data Creation & Maintenance

  • Act as the central hub for receiving, validating, and processing master data requests
  • Create and maintain key master data including products, Bills of Materials (BOMs), customers, vendors, and financial data
  • Maintain purchase prices, standard costs, rebate structures, and Capex project codes
  • Ensure all data is accurate, complete, and aligned with business rules before system entry

Data Quality & Governance

  • Perform validation checks to ensure compliance with master data standards and policies
  • Identify data quality issues, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Support continuous improvement of master data processes and controls
  • Maintain documentation including SOPs, templates, and work instructions

Period-End & Costing Processes

  • Support period-end activities including rolling of standard costs
  • Update costing data to support Finance and Operations teams
  • Assist with system updates linked to year-end or business-driven changes

Systems & Reporting

  • Maintain data across ERP systems and integrated platforms
  • Run routine reports to monitor data integrity and identify anomalies
  • Support system testing for upgrades, enhancements, and new features

Stakeholder Support

  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, Procurement, and Operations teams
  • Provide guidance on master data standards, structures, and requirements
  • Manage workload through ticketing systems to ensure timely delivery of requests

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy

  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge and clarify requests

  • Comfortable handling confidential and business-critical information

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, D365, Oracle, or similar)
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets
  • Background in Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, or Data Administration
  • Understanding of master data concepts (products, BOMs, customers, vendors, costing)
  • Knowledge of data governance or continuous improvement practices
