Job description

We're looking for a Senior Technical Support Engineer to lead escalation engineering across our healthcare platforms in the DACH region. You will be working at the deepest level of incident resolution, integration architecture, and continuous service improvement. What You'll Be Doing Advanced Escalation Engineering

  • Lead investigation of critical incidents involving integrations, imaging workflows, and distributed systems
  • Diagnose failures across HL7/FHIR/API integrations and ensure accurate data exchange between clinical systems
  • Optimize application performance and maintain routing workflows

Integration Architecture Troubleshooting

  • Design, implement, and maintain integrations using HL7, FHIR, APIs, and related healthcare standards
  • Support interoperability between PACS, RIS, dictation, and EHR systems
  • Manage imaging workflows, routing configurations, and enterprise integrations

Platform & Infrastructure Diagnostics

  • Work across Kubernetes, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure to resolve systemic issues
  • Analyze system performance, availability, and configuration drift to prevent recurrence

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with engineering teams on corrective actions, bug reporting, and hotfix planning alongside project and customer success managers
  • Develop SOPs, workflows, and technical documentation for operational maturity
  • Mentor Tier 1/2 staff and improve overall troubleshooting quality across the team

Requirements

  • 5+ years in healthcare technical support, integration engineering, or imaging IT
  • Proven experience with RIS/PACS platforms (Siemens, GE, Sectra, Fujifilm, Dedalus, or Agfa)
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and REST-based healthcare interoperability
  • Experience with voice recognition applications such as Nuance, Fluency Direct, and 3M
  • Proficiency across Linux/Windows environments, networking, VPN, TLS, and firewall behavior
  • Hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS/GCP, and log-driven debugging
  • Experience with tools such as Jira Service Management, HL7 Inspector, Mirth/Cloverleaf, SQL Studio, and WinSCP
  • Professional proficiency in English (C1+) and German (B1+) mandatory, additional languages (French, Spanish, Dutch) a strong plus
