Job description
- Design, develop, and operate reporting solutions for Procurement on our Data Lake - together with our team
- Take end-to-end responsibility for your reporting products: connecting data sources, developing and optimizing complex ETL pipelines, and modeling data according to a star schema
- Collaborate closely with BI Engineers through joint conceptualization and refinement of user stories to optimize and extend our data models.
- Ensure the continuous operation of our solutions by handling user tickets and supporting daily operational processes
- Perform adhoc analyses to support strategic decisionmaking
- Work with state-of-the-art tools and methodologies such as DataOps, DevOps, and Scrum - continuously expanding and sharing your knowledge with your colleagues
- Provide expertise to understand complex interdependencies, make well founded architectural decisions, and ensure long term system stability
- Contribute to our strategic initiatives by centrally consolidating diverse business requirements and aligning costs and value creation in the reporting context
Requirements

At least 5years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence or Data Analytics - preferably in the retail industry

A completed degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Engineering (STEM)or a comparable qualification

Strong expertisein developing ETL pipelines, ideally with Python, SQL, or Spark.

Experience with Big Data technologies, especially Databricks together with Microsoft Azure ecosystem (e.g. Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps), as well as SQL Server and Git; Optional but beneficial: Power BI, Tabular Editor, Terraform, ARM

The ability to understand complex data structures, make robust architectural decisions, and ensure longtermstability of data products

Ideally, practical experience working with large and complex datasets

Relevant certifications are a plus: AZ900, Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate

A strong teamplayer with high levels of commitment, independence, and creative problemsolving
