Job description
You will be responsible for building and scaling high-performing engineering teams (mainly remote), defining our technology roadmap, and ensuring the delivery of secure, reliable, and innovative cloud-based solutions. You will work closely with executive leadership to align engineering initiatives with our business business goals and customer needs. You'll be responsible for
- Leading, mentoring, and growing a diverse team of engineers (mainly remote), fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation, whilst supporting and working closely with our engineering manager
- Defining and executing Doctify's engineering strategy, and aligning technology initiatives with business objectives
- Overseeing the architecture, development, deployment, and maintenance of our cloud-based platform, ensuring scalability, security, and repeatability
- Driving best practices in software development, including agile methodologies, CI/CD, code quality, and testing
- Collaborating with Product, Design, and Operations teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features and enhancements
- Evaluating engaging technologies and trends to keep Doctify at the forefront of cloud-based healthcare software
- Managing engineering budgets, resource planning, and vendor relationships
- Serving as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to strategic decision-making and company growth, * Daily team huddles to connect, share wins and spark ideas

Requirements
As we continue our global growth, we are looking for an experienced, strategic, and hands-on VP of Engineering to lead our engineering department., * 10+ years of proven experience in software engineering including leadership responsibilities, in cloud-based SaaS platforms is highly desirable
- A strong track record of building, scaling, and leading high-performing engineering teams
- Deep expertise in cloud architecture, software development, and modern technology stacks (AWS, Azure, GCP, microservices, etc.)
- Experience with agile product development and delivering large-scale software products
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategic goals into technical execution
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with experience working with executive teams
- A passion for healthcare technology and improving patient experiences
