Job description
The role is responsible for technical due diligence, transition planning, service onboarding, and operational readiness for new and existing engagements. The individual should also demonstrate the ability to solution engineer client requirements, supporting the design of transition strategies and service onboarding models aligned with client technology landscapes., Transition Management
- Lead end-to-end transition of IT services from client or incumbent vendors to internal delivery teams.
- Develop transition strategies, transition plans, and governance structures.
- Manage knowledge transfer, service readiness, and operational acceptance.
- Drive cutover planning and stabilization (hypercare phase).
- Identify and mitigate transition risks, dependencies, and operational impacts.
Technical Transition Leadership
- Perform technical discovery and due diligence of client environments.
- Understand and document:
- application architecture
- infrastructure landscape
- integration points
- operational processes
- Ensure environment readiness, including access management, monitoring setup, and operational documentation.
- Support technical cutover planning and environment migration activities.
Technologies may include cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure along with enterprise infrastructure and application platforms.
BFSI Domain Engagement
- Work with technology and operations stakeholders across banking, financial services, and insurance clients.
- Support transitions for systems such as:
- core banking platforms
- payment systems
- regulatory reporting platforms
- financial applications
- Ensure transition plans align with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Solution Engineering
- Demonstrate the ability to solution engineer client requirements during new service onboarding or scope expansion.
- Develop & Contribute to transition approaches, onboarding strategies, and service delivery models.
- Provide inputs on effort estimation, transition timelines, and technical feasibility.
- Support internal solution teams in designing scalable service transition frameworks.
Requirements
- 10-15+ years of experience in IT services, consulting, or technology delivery.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end IT service transitions or service onboarding programs.
- Strong understanding of technical environments including applications, infrastructure, and integrations.
- Experience working with BFSI clients or financial systems environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead transition planning, governance, and execution.
- Ability to perform technical discovery and due diligence for new engagements.
- Experience collaborating with architects, delivery teams, and client stakeholders.
- Familiarity with IT service management practices such as ITIL.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud-based environments such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.
- Prior involvement in solution design or service onboarding strategy for new clients.
- Exposure to automation, DevOps, or modern infrastructure platforms.
- Experience working in global delivery models and multi-vendor environments.
- Certifications such as:
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- PRINCE2
- ITIL
