Job description

  • Developing automation control solutions using object oriented design methodology.
  • Development of SQL Database's for use within an engineering environment.
  • Developing multi-lingual user interface designs for VA Tech software applications.
  • Generation of software specification and design documentation.
  • Development of integrated and separate reporting tools for VA Tech software applications.
  • Hardware specification, installation and deployment within an engineering environment.
  • On-site development and diagnostic support including direct customer support.
  • Development of apps to interface with VA Tech software applications across a variety of mobile devices and platforms

Requirements

  • Understanding of control systems software development environment.
  • Knowledge / experience using .NET development tools including VB.Net and WPF,

ADO.Net & SQL, Microsoft Reporting.

  • Understanding of object oriented analysis, design and development.
  • Ability to effectively present software solutions.
  • Problem solving skills, both as part of a team and individually.
  • Strong written communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.Sc / B.Eng / M.Eng computer science / software engineering degree or equivalent.
