Azure Cloud Architect (Client-Facing / Pre-Sales

We are looking for an Azure Infrastructure Architect with strong pre-sales focus to play a key role in:

• Designing, implementing, and evolving secure, scalable, and automated cloud environments for a diverse range of projects.
• Building trusted partnerships with customers, including C-level leaders, by delivering clear, compelling technical insights and translating them into concrete solution architectures and actionable proposals.

You'll be a technical leader and trusted advisor with strong communication skills, combining hands-on expertise with customer-facing impact, helping Codit and our clients accelerate their cloud journeys through well-architected Azure platforms and landing zone solutions.

Key Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Lead technical pre-sales engagements (workshops, proposals, estimations, solution shaping)
• Translate customer challenges into solution architectures and commercial proposals
• Support account teams in deal positioning and closure
• Architect, design, and implement Azure platforms aligned with best practices.
• Lead the customization and modularization of Azure cloud infrastructure components to fit each client's scale, security, and operational maturity.
• Define and enforce cloud governance, security, and compliance standards
• Automate infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Bicep, ARM, Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, operations, and business stakeholders) to deliver robust, future-proof solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to colleagues and contribute to internal knowledge sharing sessions.
• Stay up to date with Azure innovations, continuously improving Codit's offerings.

• Proven experience designing and deploying Azure infrastructure at scale
• Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership by translating technical realities into meaningful business insights and guiding decision-makers with authority and credibility.
• Strong knowledge of Azure core services: networking, identity management, security, monitoring, and automation.
• Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep, ARM, Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with cloud governance, cost management, and compliance in regulated environments.
• Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, or equivalent) are highly valued.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch (French is a plus).
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset: you love a challenge and aren't afraid to take initiative.
• A collaborative spirit and a sense of humor!

• Broad experience across the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (infrastructure, data, integration, and application services)
• Experience with multi-cloud, hybrid architectures or Sovereign solutions.
• Previous consulting or managed services experience.
