Job description
We are looking for a visionary Expert Global HR Technology to be the architect of our digital People ecosystem. In this one-year fixed-term role, your mission is to lead the strategy and optimization of our HR systems, ensuring they drive efficiency, enable data-driven decisions, and provide a seamless experience for our teams across all regions. Sitting at the intersection of People Analytics, Operations, and Technology, you will transform our platforms to be more intelligent, automated, and future-ready. This is a crucial role that will shape the technological foundation that empowers our people and supports our global growth.
What You'll Be Doing
- Define & Execute Technology Strategy: Develop and execute the global People technology roadmap, ensuring our HRIS architecture is globally consistent, scalable, and fully aligned with BMG and our parent company, Bertelsmann's, strategy.
- Champion AI & Intelligent Automation: Identify and activate high-impact AI functionalities across our technology suite. You will develop practical use cases-from candidate screening to workflow automation-and establish governance for responsible implementation.
- Drive Digital Process Excellence: Partner closely with the Global People Operations Team to translate core HR processes into a seamless and automated digital experience, focusing on improving system usability for everyone, from employees to People Business Partners.
- Lead Key Implementation Projects: Take direct ownership of major technology implementation projects, managing them from the initial business case through to successful rollout and adoption across all global regions.
- Act as a Strategic Partner: Serve as the crucial bridge between the People team, Technology functions, and business leaders. You will translate complex business requirements into clear technical solutions and champion digital ways of working throughout the People function.
- Enhance Data Governance & Reporting: Ensure the integrity and reliability of our people data by strengthening governance and collaborating with the People Analytics team to enable accurate, insightful workforce reporting.
Requirements
- Proven HR Tech Leadership: Extensive experience leading HR technology strategy and digital transformation initiatives within a complex, global organization.
- System Implementation Expertise: A strong track record of implementing company-wide systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS) across multiple territories.
- AI & Automation Acumen: Demonstrated experience activating AI, automation, or intelligent workflows within an HR or People environment.
- Data-Driven & Analytical: Strong data literacy, with hands-on experience in data governance, analytics, BI tools (e.g., Looker or similar), and advanced Excel capability.
- Strategic & Collaborative Influence: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build compelling business cases, influence senior leaders, and collaborate effectively across functions.
- Commercial & Systems Thinking: A deep understanding of digital architecture combined with strong commercial awareness, allowing you to connect technology solutions to business impact.
