NETWORK ENGINEER

I am hiring a Network Engineer on behalf of an international, family-owned engineering and materials technology group. The organisation has grown into a global partner for industrial clients, delivering customised products and production systems used across sectors such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, and healthcare. In this role you will be responsible for:

• Design, operate, and optimise Cisco-based LAN/WAN and SD-WAN networks across multiple locations
• Manage and support network security, firewalls, and connectivity services
• Administer and integrate VMware environments and Veeam backup solutions
• Troubleshoot complex network and infrastructure issues and ensure high availability
• Support IT projects, infrastructure improvements, and global rollout activities

• Strong experience with Cisco networking technologies (routing, switching, SD-WAN)

• Hands-on knowledge of VMware virtualization and Veeam backup solutions

• Solid understanding of network security and enterprise infrastructure

• Experience working in complex, multi-site environments

• Structured problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain issues clearly to technical teams and stakeholders in both German and English - minimum C1 level German
