The Mission Acceleration Solutions Team is a dynamic, results-oriented team of Defense and Intelligence subject matter experts (SMEs), innovators, and solution sales architects who over-deliver for our customers. This Solutions Architect Director will be a leader among a team of innovation professionals and will interact across C-suite, senior government and military officials, and technical teams to help customers bring AI-enabled mission solutions to life in their systems and workflows. Our business is fueled by delivering tangible value to our customers, and we need a team member who is obsessed with making that happen., As a Solutions Architect Director, your focus will be on leading technical sales and integration engagements for our most demanding defense and intelligence customers, matching mission requirements with Vantor capabilities and driving successful adoption of new AI-enabled mission solutions. Your focus will also be on helping customers evaluate, integrate, and deploy our products and system components into a variety of environments, including cloud, private cloud, on-premises, and edge-based mission environments that enable imagery analysis, object detection, and AI-assisted analytic workflows across multiple data sources. You will be expected to, * Establish and maintain effective relationships with current and new government and national security customers, gaining recognition as a trusted and respected representative of Vantor.
- Guide the positioning and articulation of our key value propositions to targeted high-value customers and strategic opportunities.
- Mentor, coach, and advise technical sales professionals and leaders within the regions on technical strategy, go-to-market approach, and the application of emerging Defense and Intelligence solutions.
- Partner with product management and engineering teams to help shape solution strategy, inform product direction, and respond to complex customer requirements for AI-enabled mission solutions.
Act Tactically:
- Own the development and execution of solution strategies for customer opportunities, aligning Vantor capabilities to mission requirements and operational outcomes.
- Lead technical engagement activities that support the adoption and deployment of spatial intelligence and AI-enabled mission solutions in customer environments.
- Develop and present compelling demonstrations, technical briefings, and solution approaches that clearly communicate value, architecture, and deployment options across cloud, private cloud, and on-premises environments.
- Work closely with internal and customer technical teams to support integration, deployment planning, and transition from concept to operational use.
Understand Our Customers:
- Leverage your government industry, mission domain, and AI/ML knowledge to understand customer challenges and shape solution opportunities that drive mission success.
- Understand and assess the customer's technical environment, including constraints, interfaces, and operational workflows.
- Engage with both program and engineering stakeholders to map mission needs to system integration pathways.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer mission, operational, and business needs to shape effective spatial intelligence and AI-enabled solution approaches.
Requirements
We are seeking a mission-focused Solutions Architect to join our Mission Acceleration Solutions Team and help accelerate customer missions through emerging AI capabilities applied to real intelligence and defense challenges. This role supports both technical adoption and operational impact in the field. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with a proven track record as a technical leader and SME, innovative thinker, and value generator., * Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Geospatial / GIS, Systems Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in technical / solution sales supporting defense, intelligence, GEOINT, imagery analysis, spatial intelligence, or related mission workflows.
- 10+ years of matrixed sales experience, interfacing with internal stakeholders across product, engineering, and professional services organizations.
- Working knowledge of AI/ML-enabled solutions, including model performance, deployment considerations, and the application of AI to imagery analysis, object detection, and multi-source analytic workflows.
- Understanding of software and solution deployment models across cloud, private cloud, on-premises, and edge environments.
- Experience translating complex customer requirements and concepts of operation into compelling solution approaches and winning proposals.
- Results-oriented team player with a demonstrated high level of integrity.
- Works well in a dynamic environment where some parameters are unknown and change is a given.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally averaging about 25-30%, with potential peaks up to 50%., * Master's degree in an Engineering or related Discipline
- Active US or UK Government security clearance.
- Master's degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Systems Engineering, Geospatial Sciences, Cloud Architecture, or a related field.
- Deeper experience applying AI/ML solutions to operational use cases such as computer vision, object detection, multi-source analysis, or intelligence-driven workflows.
- Experience leading deployment strategy or integration planning for software-based solutions across cloud, private cloud, hybrid, or mission on-premises environments.
- Systems engineering, software engineering, or program management experience supporting defense or intelligence programs.
- Experience conducting technical feasibility assessments for mission-critical platforms.
