Job description

IT Systems Technician Department: IT Location: Office-based, full-time, on-site Employment type: Full-time, permanent Salary range: £28,000 to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits Reports to: IT Manager Works closely with: All departments, including Sales, Support, Office, Marketing, Finance and Training

What You'll Actually Be Doing

This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with the IT Manager to keep our systems running smoothly, deliver improvements, and support the business's growth.

You'll be the person who makes things happen, whether that means building a new workflow in HubSpot, updating product pages in Shopify, optimising our websites for search engines, setting up a new laptop for a colleague, or helping us get more value from our AI tools. No two days will be the same, and that variety is a big part of what makes the role interesting.

We're looking for someone comfortable wearing a few different hats. You don't need to be an expert in everything on day one; what matters is that you're curious, resourceful, and happy to figure things out. We'll give you the support and tools to succeed, and there's genuine room to grow as Innon expands across Europe

  1. Key Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure and Support

· Set up and configure laptops and workstations for new and existing team members.

· Look after our office network, including the training and testing server environment, local area network, WIFI, desk setup, and cabling.

· Act as the first point of contact when colleagues have technical issues with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Shopify, HubSpot, Zoho, printers, or hardware.

· Manage phone contracts and mobile devices.

· Help maintain domains, DNS records, and SSL certificates, working with the IT Manager where needed.

· Keep an asset register of all IT equipment so we always know what we have and where it is.

HubSpot Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

· Keep our CRM data clean and reliable by making sure contacts, companies, and deals have accurate information in the right fields.

· Build and maintain HubSpot workflows, sequences, and automations that support sales and operations.

· Run data cleanup projects when needed, including deduplication, bulk updates, and archiving old records.

· Set up and maintain pipelines, deal stages, and properties as our processes evolve.

· Manage user accounts and permissions, and help the team use HubSpot correctly.

· Support the rollout of our HubSpot Breeze AI customer agent across the website, social media, and email.

· Produce regular CRM health reports so we can see how things are performing.

Shopify and E-Commerce

· Keep our two Shopify stores (innon.com and innon.eu) up to date, including product listings, pricing, images, and descriptions.

· Make sure both stores stay in sync with each other.

· Create and update product pages using HTML content, SEO metadata, and custom code.

· Support theme changes and customisation projects.

· Manage Shopify apps, plugins, and integrations.

· Help with Shopify regionalisation as we expand into new EU markets.

· Check both stores regularly on desktop and mobile devices to spot anything that does not look right.

· Configure checkout, shipping, and tax settings for different regions.

SEO and AI-Powered Website Optimisation

· Monitor and improve SEO performance across both Shopify stores, including keyword research, meta descriptions, page titles, alt tags, and structured data.

· Use AI tools to generate, review, and optimise website content such as product descriptions, blog posts, landing pages, and knowledge base articles.

· Keep product and resource pages fresh and up to date using AI-assisted content workflows.

· Track search rankings and organic traffic, and suggest improvements based on what the data shows.

· Improve page speed, mobile experience, and site structure to increase search visibility.

· Work with the wider team to make sure new products, campaigns, and resources are properly represented on the website.

· Stay current with SEO best practices and AI content tools so we can keep evolving in this area.

Business Processes and Documentation

· Help build and maintain SOP's that the whole team can follow.

· Create step-by-step guides for repeatable tasks so processes do not rely on a single person's knowledge.

· Set up new team members by creating accounts in Google Workspace, HubSpot, Shopify, Zoho, Udemy, and preparing their laptops.

· Handle offboarding when people leave, including revoking access, retrieving equipment, and tidying up licences.

· Keep our internal knowledge base up to date so people can find answers quickly.

· Track software subscriptions, licences, and renewal dates so there are no surprises.

AI and Automation

· Help implement and maintain the AI tools we use across the business, including HubSpot Breeze AI, Perplexity Computer, and new tools as we adopt them.

· Review AI-generated content before it goes live, including product pages, reports, and data audits.

· Keep the knowledge base that powers our AI customer agent accurate and up to date.

· Monitor how our AI tools are performing and flag anything that does not look right.

· Act as the bridge between AI outputs and human review; you do not need to be an AI expert, but you should be comfortable working with these tools and keen to learn.

  1. What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is practical, curious, and happy to keep learning. If you recognise yourself in most of what is below and you are interested in growing with the role, we would still like to hear from you., * Development: Full access to Udemy and support for certifications (CompTIA, HubSpot, Shopify Partner, Google Analytics).

  • Team: A friendly, highly technical team you can learn from and actively contribute to.

  • Career growth: Clear path to progress as Innon expands across Europe.

  • Technology: Hands-on with AI tools, cloud platforms and modern e-commerce platforms.

  • Culture: "Ready For Anything®" team that values initiative, learning, and using AI to enhance people, not replace them.

Requirements

You do not need to know our exact setup already, but you should be comfortable with similar tools and confident picking up new ones.

Core areas you should already be confident in

· CRM platforms, for example, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho or similar. We use HubSpot.

· E-commerce in a B2B setting, including managing an online store and working with multi-country or multi-language setups. We currently use Shopify for this.

· Cloud productivity platforms for email, files, calendars and basic administration or troubleshooting, for example, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or similar. We use both.

· SEO fundamentals, including keywords, meta tags, page structure and how search rankings work.

· Networking basics, including LAN and WIFI setup and troubleshooting connectivity issues.

· End user hardware and software, including setting up laptops, connecting peripherals, installing and configuring applications and resolving common problems.

Helpful extras, nice to have but not required

· AI content tools for creating or improving website content, product descriptions or marketing materials.

· Theme or template code, such as Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS or similar on other platforms.

· Domain and DNS management, including DNS records, SSL certificates and registrar administration.

· Chatbots or AI assistants, for example, tools like HubSpot Breeze AI.

· Data enrichment tools such as Apollo, ZoomInfo, Cognism or similar platforms.

· Zoho or comparable support or operations tools.

· Web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console.

If you have used tools that are similar but not identical to ours, that is absolutely fine. We will help you bridge the gap.

Experience

We are looking for someone with a solid foundation in IT and a genuine willingness to learn.

What we need

· Three to five years in an IT operations, systems administration or technical implementation role.

· An IT-related background, which could be a computing or IT degree, HND, foundation degree, relevant Level 3 or Level 4 apprenticeship, BTEC or T Level in IT or digital subjects, professional certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco or similar, or strong demonstrable experience in IT gained through work, apprenticeships or equivalent routes.

If you are confident in the core areas above, enjoy solving problems and are keen to keep developing your skills, you are likely to thrive in this role and team.

Who You Are

Beyond skills and experience, here's the kind of person who will thrive in this role:

  • Can-do attitude: You look for solutions, not excuses, and you're happy to roll up your sleeves and figure things out.

  • Takes ownership: You follow tasks through to completion and keep people updated on progress.

  • Problem solver: You think logically, dig into issues, and work out the root cause instead of waiting for instructions.

  • Comfortable solo or in a team: You can focus and deliver on your own, and you also enjoy collaborating with colleagues across the business.

  • Agile and adaptable: When priorities change, you stay calm, reprioritise, and keep things moving in the right direction.

  • Detail-driven: You spot the small issues others miss, whether it's a missing field, a broken link, or a layout that doesn't look right on mobile.

  • Strong communicator: You can explain technical topics clearly to non-technical people, without jargon or making anyone feel talked down to.

  • Curious about AI: You're keen to experiment with AI tools to work smarter and improve processes, even if you're not an AI specialist.

  • Reliable: You do what you say you'll do, meet commitments, and people know they can depend on you., * IT: 3 years (required)
