Job description
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based Back End applications and microservices.
- Work across the full SDLC in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban).
- Build and optimise RESTful APIs and integration layers.
- Collaborate closely with architects, product owners, and other developers.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and solution design.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience as a Java Developer.
- Proven background working with Java 8+, Spring/Spring Boot.
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Good understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
- Excellent communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Understanding of security best practices.
