Machine Learning Software Engineer

As a Machine Learning Software Engineer, you will design, implement and optimize complex AI/ML applications. You act as the expert for engineering software according to best practices and state of the art patterns.

You collaborate closely with software engineers, ML engineers, stakeholders, and leadership to turn business requirements into reality.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex software engineering projects with focus on ML
• Guide our customers to efficient usage of AI in software engineering and for concrete use cases
• Implement and optimize ML use cases for on edge devices
• Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to align business objectives with technical trade-offs between model accuracy, latency, and hardware costs.
• Mentor and guide ML and Embedded engineers, setting architectural standards for CI/CD in edge environments and on-device performance benchmarking.

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.

• Strong understanding of Machine Learning and the current AI ecosystem.

• Hands on ML engineering experience.

• Experience in ML on edge (Smartwatches).

• Ability to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

• Strong communication skills and senior-level stakeholder interaction.

Following experience is a plus:

• Experience in biomedical data (like PPG heart rate analysis).
• ML profiling and optimization on edge devices.
• Mobile/wearable software engineering on Android (Wear OS) AND Apple (Watch OS).
• Understanding of sensors and sensors data manipulation (e.g. time series processing).
• Understanding of profiling and optimisation (battery, computing, etc).
