Job description
Join us as a Media AI Technologist and help turn early-stage ideas into working AI prototypes that improve real media workflows. You'll work across editorial, creative, product, engineering and operations teams to test what's possible, prove value quickly, and shape where AI can make the biggest impact.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building, experimenting and learning fast. You might already have experience in media AI, or you may come from a broader applied AI/ML, background and be excited by the opportunity to work with content and media workflows.
This position is an excellent fit for a recent graduate looking to start a tech career in a brilliant media company.
What you'll do:
- Partner with teams across Editorial, Creative, Media Operations, Product and Engineering to turn early ideas into clear, testable problems grounded in real workflows.
- Build and iterate AI prototypes in rapid cycles, typically over 2-6 weeks, to prove or disprove new opportunities quickly.
- Create lightweight agentic workflows that can combine models, tools and human review steps to complete multi-step tasks reliably.
- Analyse results, share what worked and what did not, and help stakeholders understand what should happen next.
- Build practical demos and thin-slice experiences that make ideas tangible and useful, not just presentable.
What you'll bring:
- Experience building AI/ML-powered products, prototypes or software systems that work with unstructured content such as video, audio, images or text.
- Good understanding of modern AI tooling and approaches, for example multimodal models, speech-to-text, OCR, semantic search, summarisation, orchestration or workflow automation.
- Comfort working in ambiguity and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to shape ideas into something practical.
- Curiosity, pace and sound judgement: you know how to keep scope lean while still building something valuable.
Requirements
- Experience working with media, broadcast, content or operational workflow tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Exposure to evaluation, experimentation or prototype measurement in AI products.
- Experience building interfaces or visual demos that help others quickly understand what a solution does.
