In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders and consulting teams to understand their needs and help develop AI-driven solutions that create measurable impact. What you will do:

• Support business stakeholders in adopting AI solutions by helping explain features, gathering user feedback, and contributing to continuous improvements.
• Assist in shaping the data and retrieval layer, including helping set up data loaders, embeddings, caching, and grounding approaches under the guidance of senior team members.
• Support the development of scalable solution architectures, learning how to design systems that can be efficiently implemented at scale.
• Contribute to preparing, testing, and releasing AI features, working with the team to deploy updates, monitor performance, and understand key indicators such as responsiveness, reliability, and cost.
• Help conduct evaluations and safety checks, including offline and online testing, red-teaming activities, and implementing guardrails to ensure safety, privacy, and compliance.
• Create simple demos and practical enablement materials, such as lightweight UIs, notebooks, clear READMEs, playbooks, templates, and modular components to help colleagues and users get started quickly.
• Assist in preparing and delivering ideation workshops, contributing to prototypes and communicating insights and recommendations in a clear, structured manner.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Platform Engineers, and Product Managers, working with, and learning from senior AI Scientists or Machine Learning Engineers to grow your technical and professional skills.

• University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative or technical field, or a comparable qualification. Additional studies in business, management or economics are a plus.
• Enthusiasm about broader business challenges and the ability to translate them into technical solutions.
• Excellent English language, communication, and presentation skills and the ability to clearly communicate technical trade-offs and decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficient programming skills in Python or R, solid SQL skills, experience with additional languages (e.g. Java) is a plus; software hygiene (version control, testing, code reviews).
• Experience in building backend services or pipelines and integrating ML/LLM components.
• Good knowledge of Retrieval/RAG, agent orchestration, and the field of AI in general.
• Basic understanding of the foundational concepts of machine learning, statistical analysis, and/or mathematical optimization techniques.
• Practical experience in analyzing complex datasets and developing analytical or AI-based models and a keen interest in AI innovation.
• Some first experience in working on strategic or cross-functional initiatives in a corporate environment, e.g. through internships or student work.
