Kafka DevOps

• Take full ownership: Design, implement, and document complex requirements for our Kafka platform and its surrounding ecosystem.
• Apply deep expertise: Deploy, operate, optimize, and monitor modern integration systems-with a strong focus on Apache Kafka.
• Engineer with Go: Build internal tools, operational automation, and platform services using Go.
• Partner with teams: Collaborate closely with product teams and stakeholders in an agile environment.
• Go deep on operations: Handle second- and third-level support, troubleshoot issues, and perform in-depth performance and capacity analyses.
• Act as a technical leader: Provide guidance on architecture, best practices, and Kafka administration to engineering and product teams.
• Stay ready: Participate in the on-call rotation as part of operating a mission-critical platform.

• Extensive knowledge of Kafka architecture (brokers, topics, partitions, replication, KRaft, controller quorum, and internal mechanics).
• Production experience installing, configuring, scaling, and operating Kafka clusters.
• Strong understanding of topic management, partitioning strategies, replication concepts, and performance tuning.
• Solid proficiency with Kafka CLI tools.
• Professional Go programming experience, ideally in platform engineering, backend services, infrastructure tooling, or automation., * Professional development opportunities: English/German courses available and further IT education/trainings.
