Job description
Reporting to the Head of Design, working closely with the Head of Marketing, you will be the central point of contact for all things web across the business. You'll work collaboratively with marketing, product, brand, and compliance teams, translating strategic goals into highly effective, compliant, and continuously optimised web experiences.
Requirements
We're looking for someone who doesn't just build websites but truly owns their success, from pixel-perfect design to robust code and measurable performance.
- Proven expertise in web design & delivery: You have a documented track record of designing and delivering successful websites. We're not just talking about launching sites; we mean websites that demonstrate measurable positive impact for users and business goals. You understand that a truly successful website is a harmonious blend of aesthetics, functionality, and performance.
- Webflow mastery: You are a certified Webflow wizard. You don't just know the interface; you understand the underlying architecture, the core system, its capabilities, and where the platform is headed. You can push Webflow to its limits and beyond.
- Solid coding skills & integration acumen: You possess a strong working understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You're comfortable connecting external tools to Webflow, and crucially, you can write custom code to achieve bespoke designs and functionalities. While we encourage leveraging AI for efficiency, you take full responsibility for ensuring its output is robust, secure, and perfectly integrated.
- Deep understanding of web accessibility: You champion accessibility, moving beyond surface-level considerations like colour contrast and font sizes. You have a detailed working knowledge of implementing comprehensive accessibility standards, including ARIA attributes, effective alt-text strategies, screen reader compatibility, keyboard navigation, and responsive design across various screen resolutions and devices.
- Stakeholder management: You're adept at managing diverse stakeholders across marketing, product, brand, and compliance. You can gather requirements, manage priorities, communicate technical concepts clearly, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic roadmaps.
- Ownership of website performance & KPIs: You are passionate about data-driven decision-making. You will define, track, and relentlessly optimise web performance KPIs aligned with marketing and broader business objectives. You can translate complex analytics into actionable insights and present them confidently to senior leadership.
- Research & user testing skills: You believe in validating your work through rigorous research and testing. You can design and execute user testing methodologies (moderated and unmoderated) to gather insights that inform iterative improvements and ensure our website genuinely meets user needs.
A few other elements we require:
- Based in the UK with legal rights to work: While this is a remote role, you must reside and have the legal right to work in the UK.
