Job description
Our client is seeking Cloud Security Engineer, This role provides cloud security engineering expertise across AWS, GCP, and OCI, supporting the retailer's shift away from datacentres toward cloud-native and SaaS services. The engineer will design guardrails, improve security controls, and support DevSecOps uplift across CI/CD pipelines. Responsibilities:
- Provide cloud security consultancy and guidance to engineering and product teams.
- Define and implement guardrails, policies, and secure configurations across AWS/GCP/OCI.
- Support the uplift of DevSecOps practices and secure deployment pipelines.
- Review cloud designs, architectures, and deployments for risk.
- Support posture management (CSPM) across multi-cloud environments.
- Assist in the migration of legacy COTS applications into cloud or platform patterns.
- Work closely with platform and networking teams on resilience and security integration.
Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of AWS and/or GCP security services.
- Understanding of cloud network security, IAM controls, encryption, and logging.
- Familiarity with CSPM tooling and cloud benchmarks (CIS/NIST).
- Understanding of CI/CD principles and secure pipeline patterns.
- Ability to support large legacy estates moving to cloud.
Desirable:
- Experience with Terraform or IaC patterns.
- Experience with containers (EKS/GKE) and serverless security.
- Knowledge of SonarQube or similar static analysis tooling.
- Experience supporting large monolithic or COTS migrations.
