Job description

You will be responsible for the survey, design and pricing of electronic security systems, working across CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Detection solutions within critical national infrastructure (CNI) and utilities environments.

Working closely with internal teams and clients, you will ensure designs are technically robust, commercially viable and aligned with operational requirements., * Conduct detailed site surveys and produce accurate reports on existing systems

  • Design compliant security solutions including CCTV, access control, intruder systems and occasionally fire alarms
  • Produce technical drawings, schematics and design documentation (CAD/Visio)
  • Prepare proposals, cost estimates and technical submissions for projects and tenders
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams to ensure effective project delivery
  • Support bid and tender processes with technical input and design solutions
  • Manage multiple design projects and deadlines across the region
  • Provide a key technical interface within project planning and client meetings

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing electronic security systems within complex or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Detection systems
  • Experience within utilities, infrastructure or CNI environments is highly desirable
  • Understanding of relevant British Standards and NSI guidelines
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance cost, risk and performance
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD, Visio or similar)
  • Good understanding of IP networking and system integration
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region

Desirable

  • Experience with Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems (PIDS)
  • Experience designing integrated security solutions across multiple disciplines
  • Formal engineering or security-related qualification
  • Knowledge of BIM or digital survey tools
