Network Security Engineer

Network & Security Engineer (Contract) Location: London (Hybrid) Contract: Initial 3 months Start Date: ASAP Inside IR35

Overview We are looking for an experienced Network & Security Engineer to support a fast-growing organisation undergoing IT transformation. This is a hands-on role covering network operations, cloud infrastructure, and security, with a strong focus on Microsoft and Cisco technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain network and security infrastructure across multiple sites
• Manage and optimise Cisco Meraki (wireless, switching, Firewalls)
• Design and support Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, VPNs)
• Monitor performance and resolve network/security issues
• Implement security controls (Firewalls, VPNs, access policies)
• Manage identity and access (Azure AD/Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access)
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex issues

Key Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in Network/Infrastructure/Security roles
• Strong Cisco Meraki and networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, routing)
• Experience with Azure networking and cloud environments
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, and identity management
• Solid understanding of network security principles
• Experience handling 3rd line/escalations
