Applications Developer - Public Sector
Max Day Rate: £530/day inside IR35 Location: Remote Duration: 6 months Security Clearance: SC required (UK passport holder only; no dual nationals; additional vetting required) Sector: Public
Job Description:
We are seeking two Applications Developers to join a public sector technology team. These fully remote roles involve developing and supporting modern application solutions using Python, SQL, APIs, and cloud/container technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Back End applications using Python and SQL
- Work with JSON and API development (WebMethods, Kong)
- Deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker
- Work with Microsoft Azure cloud services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fully remote environment
- Ensure high-quality code and maintain documentation
Skills & Experience:
- SC Clearance required - UK passport holder only (not OCI)
- Strong Python development skills
- Experience with SQL and JSON
- API development experience (WebMethods, Kong)
- Containerised deployments using Docker
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
- Ability to work independently and remotely
Notes:
- Additional vetting required; onboarding may take longer than usual.
- Interview process: Technical (Level IV)
- Fully remote role
