Job description

Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Cyber Product Owner with strong Protective Security Transformation experience to support the Access Control Pod. This role is responsible for leading and supporting the delivery of Access Control and Access Management transformation and Run the Bank programmes, while supporting the execution of the overall technology strategy. The position requires close collaboration with global stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to ensure alignment with business priorities, governance standards, and secure, scalable technology solutions within a regulated environment. What you will do:

  • Collaborate with global business stakeholders, leaders, and architects to refine and prioritise the product backlog to maximise business benefits.
  • Define and drive execution of transformation technology initiatives within the Access Control sub-stream.
  • Manage and monitor budget requirements to support short and long-term business objectives.
  • Assess alignment between business demand, investment plans, and overall technology strategy.
  • Represent Technology in business discussions and ensure required capabilities are developed.
  • Communicate technology vision, mission, and plans effectively across delivery teams.
  • Lead Agile pod to maximise velocity and ensure alignment with business priorities.
  • Drive innovation initiatives and proof of concepts to shape Access Control strategy and roadmap.
  • Promote customer-centric culture across delivery teams.
  • Ensure alignment with governance, standards, and documentation requirements.
  • Contribute to and influence Access Control Transformation and Run the Bank roadmap.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of all agreed initiatives.
  • Provide efficient and continuously improving DevOps capabilities balancing operational stability and evolution.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships by delivering on business needs.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, processes, and risk management practices.
  • Support team development through knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Promote Agile adoption and continuous learning culture.
  • Monitor risks, identify impacts, and recommend improvements or changes.
  • Apply IT policies and standards to ensure quality, compliance, and effective risk management.
  • Contribute to improving customer service, delivery quality, and team effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a technology manager delivering large-scale transformation and Run the Bank programmes using externally hosted, cloud-based SaaS and PaaS solutions with third-party vendors.
  • Extensive experience in Agile project and programme management and DevOps practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in protective security transformation and optimisation, including access control, CCTV, intruder detection, and PSIM.
  • Strong experience in IT service management including service, incidents, problems, changes, releases, risks, and data.
  • Proven track record delivering global technology transformation within complex, multinational organisations.
  • Experience operating within regulated industries and governance frameworks, ideally within financial services.
  • Strong budget management and financial monitoring capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of protective security processes and operating models.
  • Ability to design end-to-end solutions using structured, user-centric, and outcome-based approaches.
  • Capability to develop business cases supported by quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply best practices, tools, and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills across all organisational levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing diverse and distributed teams.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and development of emerging technologies and practices.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience., Candidates must be legally authorized to live and work in the country where the position is based, without requiring employer sponsorship.
