Job description
As a Principal UX Designer, you will be responsible for the creation of immersive, intuitive user experiences for sophisticated player-facing features that delight millions of players.
You will be partnering with designers, Artists, UX Researchers and Product Managers to uphold the UX vision of Overwatch Rush validate our designs and leverage data to help guide improvements.

Responsibilities
- Masterfully craft intuitive and accessible UX Designs for large, systemically sophisticated features via both low- and high-fidelity mockups.
- Collaborate with designers (Game, UI, Level, Systems, Narrative) to define the player experience and uphold the UX vision for the entire game.
- Present your design work articulately and support your design decisions within your feature team and other collaborators through excellent communication skills.
- Define, socialize and ensure adherence to player-centric design principles.
- Embrace a healthy feedback culture; we encourage our UX designers to give and receive constructive feedback as we strive to make our game better together.
- Collaborate with the UX Researchers to conduct qualitative studies, validate designs and derive actionable improvements or contribute to a better understanding of our players' motivations and behaviors.
- Partner with Product Managers to guide game and feature improvements.
- Explore new opportunities, practices, tooling, and UX theories to improve our methodological toolkits.
- Mentor less experienced designers to build their skills, communication abilities, and design processes.
Requirements
- Experience in Figma, visual communication and prototyping.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills.
- Familiar with the fundamentals of interaction design and Information Architecture.
- Good understanding of game- and player- centric design principles.
- Crafting for accessibility and inclusion.
- Experience conducting qualitative research and integrating research insights in your designs.
Plusses
- Experience crafting and holding a UX vision for large, systemically sophisticated games.
- Knowledge of and curiosity about freemium standard methodologies.
- Experience working in an agile project environment.
- Knowledge of technical constraints, optimisation, and implementation.
- Experience running co-creation sessions with product, design, and engineering.
