Job description
As a Senior Technical Architect, you'll translate high-level solution designs into robust, detailed Low-Level Designs that guide engineering squads with clarity and confidence. You'll collaborate across Product, Engineering, UX and Enterprise Architecture - influencing architectural direction, managing technical debt, leading proof-of-concepts, mentoring others, and ensuring we "do the right thing" across multiple domains. You'll be the technical authority who drives standards, supports incident resolution, shapes requirements, evaluates emerging technologies, and ensures our application estate remains modern, scalable, secure, and cost-efficient., * Produce and maintain Low-Level Designs aligned to Solution Architecture, UX wireframes, and evolving business needs.
- Champion architectural standards, manage technical debt, and drive refactoring and technical improvement initiatives.
- Publish and maintain API contracts, support the Developer Portal, and collaborate across multiple technical domains.
- Lead documentation, standardisation, proof-of-concept efforts, and mentor architects, advise contractors and development leads.
- Operate across domains to support discovery, advise stakeholders, assess risks, and ensure we "do the right thing."

- 8+ years building commercial applications and 3+ years hands-on with AWS (serverless ideally).
- Strong background with Java, Spring Boot, distributed systems, messaging architectures (RabbitMQ/SQS), and modern API design.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, documentation skills, and the ability to mentor others.
- Experience with databases (Oracle, SAP, RDS, NoSQL), DevOps principles, and the ability to read and interpret modern code.
