Job description
In this role, you'll be the lead architect on building scalable Azure networks, managing security controls, and overseeing external vendor work to ensure everything aligns with enterprise standards and best practices. Your expertise will help implement Zero Trust, secure hybrid connectivity, and automate network provisioning with IaC tools like Terraform or Bicep., * Design, implement, and maintain Azure VNETs, subnets, routing, and network segmentation.
- Oversee and validate external consultant work to ensure standards compliance.
- Configure and manage Azure Firewall, NSGs, ASGs, WAF, and DDoS protections.
- Implement and enforce Zero Trust architecture and network security policies.
- Develop automation scripts for network provisioning and management.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure network environments.
- Create documentation, standards, and reusable patterns for networking solutions.

Requirements
Ideal candidates will bring 7+ years in enterprise networking, with at least 3 years focused on Azure cloud architecture. You should be comfortable with Azure Firewall, VPNs, route management, and security governance, and possess strong experience with IaC and troubleshooting complex network issues.
Bonus points for Azure certifications (like AZ-700), experience with enterprise firewalls, or scripting skills in PowerShell or Python. Knowledge of Azure Landing Zones and firewall vendors such as Fortinet or Palo Alto is also necessary.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of enterprise networking experience, with 3+ years in Azure cloud architecture.
- Expert knowledge of Azure Firewall, VPNs, routing, load balancing, and security controls.
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust principles, network security, and segmentation.
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Proven ability to lead and validate work from external vendors or consultants.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and OSI model concepts.
