Job description
At Blacklane, we are building the future of sustainable chauffeur-driven mobility. Behind the scenes, our System Administration team keeps our colleagues productive and our systems secure by operating a modern, SaaS-driven IT landscape. As a System Administrator at Blacklane, you will own and operate our core internal IT platforms - from identity and access management to SaaS applications, endpoint management, and local infrastructure. You will work hands-on, automate repetitive tasks, and continuously improve how we design and run our internal IT services rather than just maintaining the status quo., * Own and operate key internal IT platforms and related SaaS services
- Design, implement, and maintain user lifecycle management and access controls across systems (joiners/movers/leavers, RBAC, group structures, app provisioning & de-provisioning)
- Configure and maintain SSO integrations, security policies, MFA, and conditional access in our IdP
- Support and improve endpoint management, leveraging OS-level policies to ensure a secure and productive client setup
- Collaborate closely with Platform and Security on cross-team topics
- Handle 1st/2nd/3rd-level incidents and requests related to core IT systems
- Drive automation of recurring tasks using scripts, APIs
- Maintain documentation for systems and processes
- Maintain local Server and Network Infrastructure
- Participate in and lead IT projects (e.g. migrations, new tool rollouts, security improvements, standardization initiatives)
- Contribute to on-call or out-of-hours work for critical changes or incidents when necessary
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on system administration experience in a modern, SaaS-heavy environment.
- Strong background in server and network administration.
- Solid IdP / SSO and lifecycle management skills (policies, integrations, SCIM, MFA, conditional access, RBAC).
- Good grasp of IT security principles and how to apply them pragmatically.
- Experience with MDM for macOS and Windows (policies, compliance, software deployment).
- Experience administering Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with network basics (routing, VPNs, DNS, firewalls).
- Comfortable working with Active Directory, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, macOS, Linux, Windows and common SaaS business tools.
- Ability to script and automate (e.g. Python, PowerShell, Bash, APIs).
- Pragmatic, solution-oriented, and able to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Conversational level German is a plus.
