Job description

As a Senior Security Architect, you'll be at the forefront of defining and implementing security strategies for our advanced technology platforms. You'll blend creative problem-solving with technical expertise to safeguard our digital assets while enabling innovation across the organization., * Design and develop practical security requirements, architecture blueprints, and processes for our application and solution landscape

  • Lead security reviews and provide expert guidance on security concepts across Swiss Re's diverse business ecosystem

  • Advance technical and organizational security competencies and adapt to emerging security trends and threats

  • Build strategic relationships with key decision makers to drive security adoption within their domains

  • Evaluate and implement security controls for AI systems and Palantir platforms to ensure data protection and compliance

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle

About the Team

The Security Team serves as the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk and compliance, and defining as well as advancing the company's security strategy. As part of the Security Team, the Security Architecture team shapes all aspects of Swiss Re's cybersecurity readiness. We are currently enhancing our maturity across several aspects of our IT environments, with particular focus on our adoption of AI and data analytics capabilities with Palantir.

Requirements

You're a security visionary who combines deep technical knowledge with excellent communication skills. You thrive in collaborative environments where you can translate complex security concepts into practical solutions. Your approach is both strategic and hands-on, allowing you to influence security decisions at all levels of the organization.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Significant knowledge of major cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and standard methods with a willingness to explore new areas

  • Proven track record of defining and delivering enterprise-scale security architectures

  • Deep expertise in several cybersecurity areas, particularly large-scale data analytics platforms (Palantir), AI solutions, application security, identity and access management, or cloud infrastructures

  • Thorough understanding of application and service development, including cloud-native application development processes and associated security challenges

  • Strong leadership skills for facilitating complex conversations with multiple stakeholders in a consulting and mediating capacity

  • Excellent communication abilities to convey ideas clearly, empathetically, and with a solution-focused approach

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Microsoft cloud certifications, CISSP, CCSP, SANS GIAC, or similar qualifications

  • Experience in financial services or insurance industry

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to data security and privacy

  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools

  • Background in secure software development lifecycle methodologies

Benefits & conditions

For Spain, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 60,000 and EUR 100,000 for a full-time role.

The specific salary offered considers:

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role

  • the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience

In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
