Job description
In this role, you monitor product quality within our product lines and at suppliers, and you help shape the development of our quality standards. You lead 0-3 Quality Engineers (junior/senior) and are responsible for executing the Quality Strategy within your value stream. With your experience in a production environment, you know exactly how to structurally improve processes and create organization-wide support.
You work closely with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders. You connect technical analyses to strategic improvement initiatives and ensure everyone works in accordance with established QHSE guidelines. Thanks to your analytical skills, knowledge of data analysis and quality methods, you create insight into performance and translate this into concrete actions., * Work according to all QHSE standards and procedures (AIM).
- Safeguard safety, quality and compliance in all internal and external interactions.
- Promote safe working within your value stream and ensure adherence.
Processes & quality improvement
- Develop end-to-end process and issue traceability; link 8D reports and structural issues to process components.
- Measure and analyze quality performance (KPIs), including supplier quality.
- Investigate, initiate and implement structural improvements in production and engineering.
- Assess samples of new components.
- Support audits by customers and certification bodies.
- Create, implement and monitor internal test processes.
- Set up and perform incoming goods inspections.
- Follow up on supplier quality issues.
- Plan and conduct risk-based supplier audits together with Procurement.
- Keep the quality management system up to date.
- Coordinate customer complaints, 8Ds and NCRs internally and externally.
- Execute, analyze and report on quality checks and measurements., * Guide the execution of the Quality Strategy within your product line.
- Drive end-to-end collaboration between departments.
- Ensure high quality standards in behavior, processes and results.
- Reduce Cost of Poor Quality.
- Safeguard correct execution of inspections and measurements.
- Transfer knowledge ("Good Workmanship") to technicians, assemblers and suppliers.
- Report quality controls and deviations to internal teams and suppliers.
Requirements
We are looking for a quality professional with a strong analytical mindset, a hands-on approach and persuasive skills at all levels. You easily move between strategy and operations and have strong coaching and influencing abilities., * A completed technical bachelor's degree (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Automotive or similar).
- 5-10 years of experience in a production environment in a mid- or senior-level role.
- At least 5 years of quality experience within an electronics production environment, preferably in the EV or energy sector.
- Certified VDA 6.3 Auditor.
- Demonstrable experience with data analysis and setting up analyses.
- Experience with MS Office and Business Intelligence tools.
- Good command of Dutch and/or English, both written and spoken., * Promoter of change: you create support and enthusiasm.
