Job description
We're looking for a Junior Data Analyst who's curious, motivated, and excited to learn. You'll join our central Data & Analytics team and work closely with analysts, data engineer, analytics engineers and business stakeholders across editorial, product and commercial teams., * Build and maintain dashboards and reports using SQL and a variety of visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau)
- Work with GA4 and other data sources to understand how users interact with our products
- Help uncover patterns, trends and opportunities in messy, real-world data
- Learn how AI and automation can improve analytics workflows and efficiency
- Collaborate with editorial, product and audience teams to answer everyday questions with data
- Develop your data storytelling skills - explaining insights clearly and confidently
Requirements
This role is ideal if you enjoy exploring data, asking questions, and turning numbers into stories. You won't be expected to know everything - we're looking for someone who wants to experiment, learn quickly, and make an impact.
You'll love this role if;
You have previous experience in analysing and optimising product & user behaviour. You are skilled in managing large datasets using SQL and visualisation tools, and you're knowledgeable the developments in AI and how this can lead to better use of data and insights.
You possess a strong desire for knowledge and continuous personal development, aiming to influence strategic decisions directly through data insights., * A strong analytical foundation (through study, training or early career experience)
- Some experience using SQL, GA4, DBT, Python or similar analytics tools
- Interest in statistics, data visualisation or modelling
- Naturally curious mindset - you ask "why?" and enjoy problem solving
- Clear communicator who wants to grow their confidence with stakeholders
- Enthusiasm for learning, experimenting and developing as an analyst
Nice to have: exposure to media data, dashboards, automation or AI assisted analysis - but not required.
