Sr. DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer at BuildingMinds, you will be part of a top-notch engineering team. As the team is expanding fast, you will provide the means to keep our development activities running effectively. You will own our repos, CI/CD, infrastructure automation and partner with the developers to constantly identify ways to increase developer productivity. With a strong focus on quality and your own software development expertise you can also coach developers on how to automate and operate the cloud infrastructure their code is running on. You will work with our Fullstack developers on a cloud-native state-of-the-art technology stack (e.g. Angular 9, Serverless Microservices in TypeScript, NoSQL) that is constantly expanding. in detail, you will:

• Develop and maintain cloud-based applications on a microservice architecture running on Kubernetes
• Create automation scripts, infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines
• Implement application performance monitoring and centralized observability across distributed services
• Coach and support team members in the use of the tools and technologies
• Support the use and implementation of agile tools and methodologies

• A higher degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or equivalent
• Around 5 years of relevant DevOps experience
• Excellent knowledge of cloud infrastructure automation, particularly on Azure (bonus to have)
• Strong hands-on experience with AKS or comparable managed Kubernetes platforms
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions (bonus to have)
• Experience with application performance monitoring and centralized logging in distributed architectures
• Experience with serverless microservice architecture
• Database management experience: SQL and NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, and helm (nice to have)
• Passion for high quality cloud solutions and software development
• A strong interest in technology and keeping up with trends and best practices for modern development approaches
• Experience with application performance management
• Experience with CI/CD processes of complex microservice-based cloud solutions
• Comfort working with agile methodologies in a quickly changing environment
• Experience in Kafka or other message queue services to efficiently manage and process high-volume data streams
• A pragmatic mindset and willingness to try new approaches to get the right results
• A collaborative team-player attitude
