Job description
We're a Lincoln-based website design & development agency looking for a Webflow developer who's ready to own the technical output of a growing team. You won't have a "Senior" or "Head Of" title, but in practice, you'll be the most experienced developer in the room (at least initially - we are growing fast), and we'll treat you accordingly.
This is a hands-on build role first and foremost. You'll be in Webflow every day, delivering real client work. Alongside that, you'll help shape how we build, mentor junior developers, and have a genuine voice in our technical direction.
We're a Webflow-first agency - it's our primary build platform and the tool you'll spend most of your time in. That said, we're not precious about where you've come from. A strong general development background and the drive to get up to speed quickly matters more to us than Webflow on your CV. If you know your way around the web and you're a fast learner, we'll back you to hit the ground running.
Requirements
- A confident, capable developer with a solid general web development foundation.
- Someone who picks up new tools and platforms quickly and takes ownership of that process.
- Comfortable being the most experienced developer on a small, growing team.
- A natural mentor: you bring others up rather than work in isolation.
- Commercially aware enough to understand what clients need, not just what's technically possible.
- Familiar with WCAG accessibility standards and able to build with them in mind from the start.
- Working knowledge of GDPR as it applies to web development, including forms, tracking, and data handling.
- Grounded, reliable, and genuinely invested in the quality of your output.
- Based within commutable distance of Lincoln; this is not a remote role.
Nice to haves
We won't rule you out for not having these, but experience with or exposure to any of the following is a bonus:
- HubSpot
- API integrations
- Shopify
- WordPress
- Experience using AI tools to support and accelerate development work; we're a team that embraces AI as a force multiplier, not a replacement for your craft., * Web development: 1 year (required)
Benefits & conditions
- £30,000-£38,000 depending on experience.
- 24 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- Hybrid working: 3 days in our Lincoln office, 2 from home.
- Flexible start and finish times from day one; we operate on trust.
- On-site parking covered by the company.
- Company MacBook or Windows laptop; your choice.
- Employee perks app/platform.
- Quarterly agency activity days.
- Summer BBQ and Christmas party.
- A clear path to a formal Senior / Head of Development role as the team grows.
What you'll be doing
- Building websites and digital solutions in Webflow to a high standard, day in, day out.
- Mentoring junior developers - reviewing work, sharing knowledge, raising the bar.
- Contributing to technical decisions: tooling, workflows, how we build and why.
- Collaborating with the MD and wider team on scoping, timelines, and technical proposals.
- Helping to build and improve our development processes as we scale.
