Job description

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Operations Support Manager to oversee daily business functions and ensure the smooth running of our luxury boutique hotel and restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience in hotel and restaurant setting, and excellent communication abilities. This role offers a a chance to join the business soon to launch under new brand, and be part of growing team. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations and fostering a positive work environment., * Ensure that each department delivers a consistently high standard of guest service and maintain effective cost controls in all areas.

  • Oversee the hotel main operations including quality, standards, cleanliness, guest satisfaction.
  • Promote a culture of excellence in guest care through a warm welcome and a desire to exceed expectations.
  • Work alongside the team and General Manager to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations.
  • Deputise for the General Manager in his absence and at various meetings & events.
  • Be responsible for maximising profit through the consistent delivery of the highest standard of service.
  • Be responsible for all the day-to-day queries, complaints or problems that arise in the hotel.
  • Maximise financial opportunities and achieve pro-active up-selling environment throughout the hotel.
  • Carry out Duty Management shifts as required.
  • Conduct regular fire walks.
  • Promote a positive employee relations culture through effective communication and regular team meetings.
  • Carry out regular inspections of all departments in the areas of guest service delivery, cleanliness, presentation, service delivery, employee presentation and grooming.
  • Ensure that reasonable care is taken for the Health and Safety of yourself, other employees, guests and any other persons on the Hotel premises.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in supervising teams within a hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional phone manner.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster a positive team environment and maintain professional relationships.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities whilst maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of reception operations.
  • Strong restaurant and bar experience.
  • Ability to work with different IT systems (Lightspeed, Opera Cloud)
